Narumi Amano is one of the most painful blows the Resistance has delivered to the Regime.  An engineer by trade, she created nanotechnologies at one of the Regime's corporations.  When Narumi found out her inventions weren't meant to cure diseases, but were a new genetic weapon (the Omega Gene), she decided to escape from the Sky City in which she was living and join the Resistance.  Narumi was seriously injured while breaking out and was forced to use a stolen sample of Omega to survive.  She escaped, but become a living, breathing weapon as a result.

They lied to me all of those years.  I was betrayed and turned into a monster.  There are people behind the Regime, and I'm going after them.  Revenge is an emotion that's as cold and sharp as a katana's blade. It comes from nowhere, pierces the enemy’s body and then vanishes again.  I've left all of my former thoughts and emotions in the past and now focus on doing the one thing I do best -- kill everyone who dares to stand in my way.

Sergey Mikhailov is nicknamed "Thor" because of his violent temper.  He's been a soldier his entire life, although the constant upgrades to his body via implants have made him more machine than flesh.  His duty: fight the Regime. His personal goal: protect the scrap of humanity left within him. As with everybody in the Resistance, he's determined to die trying to destroy the Regime.

There was a time when we didn't believe in God or the Devil, but when they came to Earth, we had to accept their existence.  Unfortunately, the months that followed turned out to be bloodier than anything the human race had ever experienced.  I'm a warrior, and a warrior doesn't kill people; he protects them.  The Regime is my personal enemy, and only one of us shall remain standing.  That's all I have to say.

As a child prodigy, Alex was always a few years ahead of everybody in school.  Whenever he could, he sharpened his mental abilities, and as a result, made tremendous progress in that area.   At age 21,  Alex enrolled in the experimental Psy Squad of the United Slavic Empire and worked as a spy for the German embassy. He disappeared for five years after the ascension of the Regime, then re-emerged when the black market in Western Europe began offering illegal implants.  Although Alex has good connections and is a very charismatic man, he's also cynical and dangerous.  Still, from time to time, he'll participate in a Resistance operation as a hired agent.  He isn't cheap, though.  In addition, rumors suggest one of his relatives belongs to the Regime.

Damn you people with all that heavy-handed crap you're trying to put on me! Even now, money rules this world, not this shit you hear from the loudspeakers.  Regime, Resistance, freedom, Arcadia -- it's all meaningless to me.  I'm a professional and I rely on cash, not words.  As part of a former empire's secret service, I can SEE into people's minds.  I know they're filled with sins and desires, not something grand and good.  Think you can tell me something new? Think again, kid, think again.
